Neuropsychiatric Genetics and Pharmacogenetics

Many clinical challenges remain in the treatment of many neuropsychiatric conditions. Here I discuss the potential role of genetics and pharmacogenetics in helping to address some of these challenges, focusing particular attention on the treatment of schizophrenia and epilepsy. I concentrate attention on the results of two whole genome association study focussed on the identification of new drug targets and on predictors of adverse reactions.
